After visiting Switzerland for a wedding (Congrats Aurore & Thomas!) and being in awe of the mountains, I just knew I had to create map of the area when I got back home.
This is my attempt to show the beauty of the area, produced with QGIS and Blender, using SRTM and Open Streetmaps data.
I tried to mimic the natural colour of the mountain landscape, without using satelite imagery, to create an almost fictional element to it. I added very light road paths, but kept it simple so the focus was on the mountains and the lake, which are what attracted me to creating the map.
